Our client had developed a system for wirelessly controlling valves in a central heating network. He had already managed to prototype and prove the idea and needed a way of clearly demonstrating all the functionality he would like in the final product to attract investors.
After an initial consultation to ascertain exactly what was expected from Redfox we were able to supply a range of options from full 3D modelling of all components for his product to simple 2D vector animation.
It was decided all that was required was the 2D animation to clearly communicate his idea. We developed storyboards for approval and we animated into a short instructional video clip that he could send onto investors.
It’s always tempting to jump into a CAD system and start modelling components. On this occasion it wasn’t necessary and our approach with storyboards enabled a speedy, low cost outcome for our client.
